CAC’s Nutrition Services Program was established to provide nutritious, high-quality meals to various community and Community Action Commission programs. CAC specializes in operating, administering and serving meals for federal and state funded, locally administered food programs such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program, the Senior Nutrition Program, and the Summer Food Service Program. Nutrition Services also vends meals to several community programs in the region, including Juvenile Hall, El Puente continuation high school, the Counseling Education Center in Santa Maria, Via Esperanza, Toltec Senior Residence, the County Mental Health Psychiatric facility, and the Friendship Center.
Senior Nutrition
Hot lunchtime meals are served
Monday through Friday at Senior Centers in the Santa Maria Valley,
Lompoc, and South Santa Barbara County and through CAC’s Mobile
Meals home delivery program for seniors who are unable to go
out to eat or shop for food. Many of the senior centers offer
a variety of activities, including dancing, arts and crafts
classes, bingo, and health screenings.

Summer Food Service Program
Lunchtime meals are provided to
youth eligible for the federal free and reduced meal program
at sites throughout the county during the summer months.

Meals
Full service, quality catering available
